gen8-248x300HP is a company that has brought many incredible things to the technological market, from printers to computers themselves, HP is a prevalent name everybody has come to know (as well as come to love!). These brand new servers are by-far the most intelligent servers available on the market right now, as they come with all the goodies a server-geek would find themselves drooling over.

The servers themselves are in the market under the name “ProLiant”, which rolls off the tongue very nicely if I do say so myself. You may find yourself pondering the question, “What exactly is an intelligent server?”, well that’s what we’re here to help you with. Intelligent servers are servers that completely change the economics (as well as any expectations you may have) of the data centre itself. It allows for automated tasks to be completed, as well as including over 150 innovative ways to deal with your customers.

These servers are equipped with many different technologies to take into account, things like HPC (High Performance Computing) and HP Client Virtualization solutions are just the tip of the iceberg. HP itself will aid you in your client virtualization solutions by giving you the tools necessary, things like storage and networking services will be at its’ peak. There are multiple types of customizable solutions, and they are used with a Citrix XenDesktop, a Citrix VDI-in-a-Bo, Windows 2012 (Microsoft)and Vmware View.

Another thing to consider when talking about the new ProLiant servers is the implementation for the HP CloudSystem Matrix. Although it’s only the entry-level type, it allows for smooth and efficient use of Cloud Servers in most environments (be it a hybrid one or a private one). This system is the one considered as “idea” for any company that find itself providing a certain service.

These servers are a solution to small and medium businesses, not only because it allows for you to deal with your customers in an efficient and timely manner, but simply because it’s made for you. Customization is crucial when it comes to implementing a server into your business like this, which is exactly why HP does a great job of making it easier on the owner themselves. Remember, there’s a lot of technology out there right now, but not all of it is going to be right for you.

If you need advice on deploying a new server or are looking to replace your existing server hardware, you should consult with a local IT Support company for expert advice, tailored to your specific needs.

NAS drives can be incredibly important those who require them, so what’s the best one to get? It can be a tedious task when it comes to finding the right amount or brand of anything, so of course you’re going to want to do a bit of research for yourself before  you take anybody’s word for it. There could be a site that tells you it’s absolutely atrocious, while there are other sites that will tell you it’s exactly what you need. Make sure you do your due diligence before you go out and buy something.

The product itself is a four-bay free standing NAS box, it actually looks a lot like the QNAP’s original four-bay design (products like the QNAP TS-421 come into mind). There are two different options that you can select from when you’re considering an Asustor, the other ones may be a bit lacking in power but they look the exact same. The AS0204T has a 1.2GHz Intel Atom, while the AS-304T has a 1.6 GHz Atom chip. The one we’re talking about here, the Asustor AS-604T the Asustor AS-604T is paired with a 2.13 GHz Atom and has 1GB of standard memory, which is able to expand to a whopping 3GB.

There are a lot more ports than you would expect to find on this edition of NAS, as it implements two different USB 3.0 ports, four different USB 2.0 ports to go along with the two eSATA ports it’s got. It has the ability to make network connections with one or even both of it’s gigabit NICs. There also happens to be one more HDMI port within the product, which can prove to be quite handy.

On the front of the device you’ve got access to four different 3.5 inch mounted disks, which are vertically mounted in their very own caddy. Each has a lever to extract them out, you also have the ability to use either 2.5 inch disks or even SSD’s inside if you feel like it. The Asustor AS-604T has pre-drilled holes for the smaller disks.

There is a back lit fluorescent display to take a look at every time you lay your eyes on the fascia, which is identical to the QNAP’s. The brand name itself is placed in the top left corner of the product, which leaved the front-mounted USB port to be placed at the bottom left corner of the equipment. There aren’t any keyed locks or anything of that sort on the drawers, but there is a tight window to tackle when it comes to the release of the disks respectively. This means that you aren’t very likely to accidentally pop any disks out while you’re using it.

There’s plenty of stuff to cover when it comes to the Asustor AS-604T, but there’s also a lot of things that don’t really mean that much. The product itself is quality, and it’s made the last for a long time. This means that you won’t be buying a brand-new one every single year, which is always a good thing when it comes to buying the latest technology!
