Has anyone used Palladyne Ai and can share their experience?

I’m thinking about using Palladyne Ai for a project but I can’t find much information from real users. What are the pros and cons, and do you recommend it? I’d really appreciate some honest feedback from people who have tried it so I can make an informed decision.

I’ve been playing around with Palladyne Ai for the past few weeks on a small workflow automation side project—nothing huge, just trying to see if it could replace some Zapier automations and maybe toss in a little AI-driven logic along the way. So here’s the quick-n-dirty from my experience so far:

Pros:

  • The whole “no-code/low-code” builder thing is legit, especially if you’re just trying to get a quick prototype working.
  • Integrations aren’t bad—they’ve got connectors to most of the big SaaS players (though honestly, Zapier still wins there).
  • The AI logic blocks are cool—if what you need is basic text processing, logic flows, things like that.
  • Pricing isn’t horrific at the mid-tier, at least compared to its main competitors.

Cons:

  • Documentation is… rough. There’s the “getting started” walkthrough, but if you try anything more complex, you’ll be stuck combing through GitHub issues or Discord for half-answers. Their docs need SERIOUS work.
  • It can be buggy. Halfway through my third workflow, something got stuck in an infinite loop and I had to delete and rebuild the thing from scratch. UI is slow sometimes too.
  • No real community yet. So if you get stuck, expect some lonely Stack Overflow posts without answers.
  • Feature set feels like it’s still in beta. Some integrations didn’t quite do what I expected, and the AI logic is not as robust as, say, building in OpenAI directly (but less fiddly, I guess).

Would I recommend it? Honestly, for simple projects and if you’re cool experimenting and figuring stuff out as you go, sure. For business-critical stuff or anything client-facing, I’d probably wait a while before relying on this. If you want max flexibility or have complex AI needs, you’re still better off doing the plumbing yourself or paying for a bigger-name platform.

TL;DR: Cool toy, needs work, maybe promising down the line. If you’re ok being a guinea pig, go for it.

Jumped into Palladyne Ai out of sheer curiosity last month, mainly because the marketing had me thinking I’d hit no-code nirvana. Let’s just say I got a little more “no” and a lot less “code.” I’ll agree with mike34 that their workflow prototyping is pretty quick to pick up, but I actually had way less luck with the integrations—I hit like three that just gave random error messages, no docs, nada. The Discord is sorta active (mostly “Hey will you fix this bug” posts), but they’re not exactly sprining into action.

On the AI logic side, feels more like novelty at the moment. String some steps together? Sure. But as soon as I tried anything beyond “parse an email, send a notification,” the AI block regressed into baby mode. Like, not reliable for nuanced stuff. Zapier is way more robust if you want to sleep at night.

I’ll differ from mike34 on the pricing: I got hit with a weird rate limit after like ten tests, and their system didn’t warn me, just hard-failed the flows. Could def see that being a pain if you’re demoing to a client or showing someone a prototype. And the UI—man, the “low-code” is more like “slow-code.” Feels like Google Docs circa 2012.

If you want to kick the tires and don’t mind a little rage clicking, maybe worth keeping on your radar. But unless you really hate yourself, probably don’t use it for anything that’d hit production. Out of all the no-code stuff I’ve tried, this one still feels like a half-baked beta—flashy, but needs a lot of baking time. I’d say curiosity satisfied, but my patience not so much.
